Heute war mein zweite Tag in Berlin. Ich wachte auf sehr früh, weil das CDS-Programm begann. Wir hatten Frühstück um halb acht Uhr morgens. Ich wachte auf um sechs Uhr, weil mein Mitbewohner um vier Uhr wach war. Er sah den Fernseher auf Deutsch. Frühstück in Deutschland ist sehr anders als in dem USA. Normalerweise würde ich Eier, Wurst, und Speck essen, aber ich aß ein Joghurt, einen Apfel, und Frühstückszerealien mit Milch. Ich trank Kaffee und Orangensaft und wir verließen für die Orientierung. Es war auf Robert Bosch Stiftung. Wir lernten, dass wir viele Dokumente während in Deutschland auszufüllen mussten. Wir hatten Mittagessen und der zweite Teil des Tages war ein bisschen langeweilig. Es war über Kulturunterschiede, aber ich wusste fast alles, dass wir über sprachen. Nach der Orientierung traf ich meine Hostfamilie. Und sie sind so TOLL. Ich habe mein eigines Zimmer mit einem Schrank. Ich konnte alle Tag über Marcus und Cristina sprechen. Sie sind so nett und hilfreich und sie scheinen sehr glücklich. Ich ging zu Vapiano's für Abendessen mit Freunden und ich aß einen Cesarsalat mit Hünchenbrust. Sie hatten ein kommisches System für eine Order. Jede Person bekommt eine Karte und sie drückt die Karte zu einer Computer, wann sie bestellen. Du bezahlst am Ende und du hast keinen Kellner. Ich wusste nicht, dass wir die Karte drücken mussten und ich machte den Fehler. Ich scheinte dumm. Nach Abendessen tranken wir in der Sony Center. Es war sehr schön. Bevor ich schlief, rief ich mit meiner Freundin in Skype an.
Today was my second day in Berlin. I woke up very early because the CDS Program began. We had breakfast at 7:30am. I woke up at 6am because my roommate was awake at 4am. He watched tv in German. Breakfast in Germany is very different than breakfast in the USA. Normally I would eat eggs, sausage, and bacon, but I ate yogurt, an apple, and cereal with milk. I drank coffee and orange juice and we left for the Orientation. It was at Robert Bosch Stiftung. We learned that we have to fill out a lot of documents while in Germany. We had lunch and the second part of the day was a bit boring. It was about Intercultural differences, but I already knew everything that we talked about. After the orientation, I met with my host family. And they are GREAT. I have my own room with a closet. I could talk all day about Marcus and Cristina because they are so nice and helpful and they appear very happy. I went to Vapiano's for dinner with friends and I had a chicken caesar sald. They had a strange system for an order. Every person gets a card that they press to a computer when they make an order. You pay at the end and you have no waiter. I didn't know that I had to press the card to the computer and I made the mistake. I looked dumb. After dinner we drank at the Sony Center and it was very beautiful. Before I went to sleep, I talked with my girlfriend on skype!
