Heute wachte ich um sieben Uhr morgens auf.  Meine Mitbewohneren waren schon weg, weil sie nach Hause fliegen musste.  Da ich nicht wusste, wer meine nexten Mitbewohneren waren, kaufte ich ein Schloss und ich setzte meine teuere Dinge in einem Schließfach hinein.  Ich traf bei der Arbeit um halb neun Uhr morgens ein und ich wusste, dass ich ein langer Tag hatte, aber Christian kaufte mir ein Sandwich von McDonalds.  Ich mache Farbflecke für die Fallartikeln und die erste 200 Farbflecke waren GIF.  Sie können nicht GIF sein und sie müssen alle jpg sein, so ich dachte, dass ich alle wieder machen musste.  Glückerlicherweise sah ich, dass ich die Farbflecke als jpg wieder speichern konnte.  Es dauerte eine lange Zeit, aber es war nicht so lang wie es hätte sein können.  Ich sagte Christian und Marcell über mein Handy. Gestern kaufte ich ein Handy und 15 Euro zu benutzen, aber die Mitarbeiter gab mir keinen Minuten.  Ich ging zurück den nexten Tag und glücklicherweise war der Chef da.  Es sah so aus, dass der Mitarbeiter mein Geld stahl, weil er sagte, dass ich nur mit Bargeld bezählen konnte und gab mir keine Rechnung..  Aber der Chef gab mir die Minuten und glücklicherweise war es kein Problem.

Today I woke up at 7am.  My roommates were already because they had to catch a flight home.  Since I didn´t know my next roommates, I bought a lock and set all of my expensive things in a locker with it.  I arrived at work at 8:30am and I knew it was going to be a long day, but Christian bought me a sandwich from McDonalds.  I make pieces of color for the fall articles of clothing on the website and the first 200 were all GIF files.  They can´t be GIF and they need to be jpg, so I thought that I was going to have to remake them all.  Luckily I saw that I could resave all of the files as jpg.  It took a while, but not nearly as long as it could have.  I told Christian and Marcell about when I bought my cell phone.  Yesterday I bought the cell phone and 15 Euro to use with it as minutes, but the worker didn´t give me the minutes.  I went back the next day and luckily the boss was there.  It seemed as though the worker stole my money, because he told me I could only pay with cash and didn´t give me a receipt.  But the boss gave me the minutes and luckily it was no problem.

Heute war mein zweiter Tag mit Eddie Bauer.  Aber ich musste bei München anmelden.  Zuerst ging ich zur Stadtsparkasse, eine Bank.  Ich öffenete eine Konto, so dass ich Geld aus Eddie Bauer bekommen kann.  Nach der Bank fuhr ich mit dem Zug zu Poccistraße und ich traf mit Elli aus Eddie Bauer dort.  Wir trafen um 10 Uhr morgens und wir gingen ins Kreisverwaltungsreferat.  Wir mussten eine lange Zeit warten und keiner von uns beiden wussten, wo wir gehen brauchten.  Endlich meldete ich an, aber ich brauchte keine Aufenthalterlaubnis, weil ich in Deutschland weniger als drei Monate sein werde.  Es ist toll, weil sie 50 Euro kostet.  Nach dem Kreisverwaltungsreferat, aßen wir Mittagessen in McDonalds und wir gingen zurück zu Eddie Bauer.  Elli war super hilfreich, weil sie perfekt Deutsch spricht.  Ich musste nur drei Stunde arbeiten und ich ging zurück zur Jugendherberge.  Ich trainierte und sprach mit meiner Freundin an Facebook, vor ich ins Bett gegangen bin.

Today was my second day with Eddie Bauer, but I had to register with the city of Munich.  First I went to Stadtsparkkasse, a bank, and I opened an account so that I can get paid bz Eddie Bauer.  After the bank, I rode the train to Poccistraße and mit with Elli from Eddie Bauer there.  We met at 10am and went in the city registration office.  We had to wait a long time and neither one of us knew where we were really going.  Finally I registered, but I didnät need a registration permit because I am going to be in Germany for under three months.  It´s great because the permit costs 50 Euro.  After the city registration office we ate lunch at McDonalds and we went back to Eddie Bauer.  Elli was super helpful because she speaks perfect German.  I only had to work 3 actual hours at Eddie Bauer and I went back to the youth hostel.  I worked out and spoke with my girlfriend on Facebook before I headed to bed.

Heute war mein erster Tag bei Eddie Bauer und ich denke, dass es auch mein LieblingsTag in Deutschland war.  Ich wachte um halb sieben Uhr morgens auf und ich ziehte meine Kleidung an.  Ich tragte eine schwarze Krawatte aber keinen Anzug.  Ich hatte noch keine Ahnung, wo ich gehen musste und ich wusste auch nicht, wann ich dort sein musste.  Ich machte sicher, dass ich zu Eddie Bauer um neun Uhr morgens eingetroffen habe.  Ich dachte, dass ich zu einem gröβen Gebäude gehen musste, aber das Gebäude war nicht so groβ.  Das freut mich daran, weil ich Rudolf Kutschker sofort traf.  Es war halb neun Uhr morgens und er war an dem Aufzug.  Er stellte sich vor und wir gingen oben zu der zweiten Ebene.  Wir füllten viele Formulare aus und ich traf mit Dorte.  Sie arbeitet bei der Personalabteilung.  Sie zeigt mir alle die Dokumente, dass ich zu der Ausländerbehörde bringen muss.  Elli, eine Trainee, wird mit mir an das Gebäude treffen und sie wird mir helfen.  Eddie Bauer wird für meinen ganzen Verkehr bezählen und das ist hilfreich, weil eine Monatskarte 73 Euro kostet.  Morgen werde ich auch ein Bankkonto mit Sparkasse öffenen und heute kaufte ich ein Handy!  Rudolf stellt mich Christian vor, der der Chef von der Marketingabteilung ist und er war sehr kühl.  Er stelt mich an dem ganzen Büro (50 Leute) und wir begannen unsere Arbeit.  Marcell arbeitet auch in der Marketingabteilung und er gab mir meine erste Aufgabe.  Ich musste die Farben für die Fallartikeln an der Website machen.  Sie haben ungefähr 750 Artikeln für den Fallkatalog und ich muss jede Farbe mit Photoshop machen.   Nach dem ersten Tag hatte ich nur 200 Farben von der 750 Farben fertig.  Ich weiβ jetzt auch, dass ich zwei Urlaubstage habe, aber ich kann zwei mehr haben, wenn ich Überstunden arbeiten.  Ich werde vier Tage benutzen, wann Lee zu München kommt.  Heute arbeitete ich bis sechs Uhr abends und nach dem Arbeit habe ich sehr gut gefühlt.  Die Leute waren so nett, dass ich so zuversichtlich mit meiner Deutschsprache fühlte.  Ich habe nie so zuversichtlich gefühlt und ich denke, es ist, was ich brauche zu flieβend werden.

Today was my first day at Eddie Bauer and I think that it was also my favorite day in Deutschland.  I woke up at 6:30am and I put my clothes on.  I wore a black tie with a dress shirt and dress pants, but no suit.  I still had no idea where I had to go and I also didn’t know what time I had to be there.  I made sure that I arrived at Eddie Bauer by 9am for my first day.  I thought it was going to be a giant corporate building, but it was actually not that big and it was out on the countryside.  They share the building with other businesses.  It actually made me happy because I immediately saw Rudolf Kutschker and met him.  Es was 8:30 and he was just coming down from the elevator.  He introduced himself and we went up to the second floor.  We filled out a lot of forms and I met Dorte, who works with Human Resources.  She showed me all the documents that I have to bring to the registration office.  Elli, a trainee, is going to meet me there to show me what I need to do and help me.  Eddie Bauer is also going to pay for my transportation which is so important because the monthly card I bought cost 73 euro.  Tomorrow I will also open a bank account with Sparkasse and today I bought a cell phone!  Rudolf introduced me to Christian, who is the boss of the Marketing department and he is awesome.  He introduced me to the entire office (50 people) and we began our work.  Marcell also works in the Marketing department and he gave me my first task.  I had to create the colors for the articles of clothing on the website for the Fall catalog.  They have 750 articles of clothing for Fall and I have to make every color with photoshop.  After the first day, I had only 200 colors of the 750 finished.  I also know now that I have two vacation days, but I can get two more if I work overtime.  I’m going to use all four when Lee comes to see me in July.  Today I worked until 6pm and I felt really good after work.  The people were so nice and understanding that I felt really good about my German speaking ability.  I am really confident in speaking German for the first time in my life and I think that I can really be fluent by the end of the summer, since I am studying flash cards every day on the train to and from work.

Heute war mein echter erster Tag in München.  Letzter Abend schlief ich so viel, dass ich traf meine Mitbewohneren nicht.  Sie waren weg, wenn ich aufwachte.  Heute fand ich eine McFit in der Nähe von meine Jugendherberge.  Es ist 15 Minuten mit dem Zug weg und ich denke, dass ich diese Fitnessstudio besser mag.  Sie ist ein bisschen gröβer und sie hat mehr Raum.  Nach der Fitnessstudio ging ich zurück zu meiner Jugendherberge und ich fand meinen Weg zu Arbeit.  Ich fuhr mit dem Zug (S3) zu Taufkirchen und ich fand das Bus, das ich mitfahren muss.  Der Zug war 40 Minuten.  Die Busse fahren nicht am Wochenende, so ich konnte nicht meinen Arbeit finden, aber ich weiβ, wo ich gehen muss.  Ich kaufte auch eine App für meine iPod Touch.  Ich kann Zeigekarten mit dieser Application machen.  Ich benutze sie, wenn ich mit dem Zug fahre.  Es ist sehr nützlich.

Today was my real first day in Munich.  Last night I slept so much, that I didn’t even meet my roommates.  They were gone when I woke up.  Today I found a McFit nearby my Youth Hostel.  It is 15 minutes and a few train stops away and I think that I like this fitness studio better.  It is a bit bigger and it has more room and is more spread out.  After I worked out, I went back to my Youth Hostel and I found my way to work.  I took the train (S3) to Taufkirchen and I found the bus that I have to ride with.  The train ride was 40 minutes.  The busses don’t run on the weekends, so I couldn’t find my actual work, but I know where I have to go.  I also bought an app for my iPod Touch.  I can make notecards with it and I use it when I ride the train.  It is really useful.

Gestern war mein letzter Tag in Berlin.  Es begannt wie ein normaler Tag und ich ging zur Schule.  Nach der Schule trainierte ich und ich verbrachte den ganzen Abend mit meiner Gastfamilie, Marcus und Cristina.  Sind waren so nett und sie kochte Abendessen für uns.  Wir aβen Steak, Fisch, Salat, und Kartoffelbrei und es schmeckt so lecker.  Nach dem Abendessen sahen wir „Cedar Rapids“ mit Ed Helms aus „The Office“.  Es war überraschenderweise sehr lustig.  Ich wachte um acht Uhr morgens auf und ich hatte schon mein Gepäck bereit.  Marcus und Cristina fuhr mich zu der Bahnhof von Potsdamer Platz.  Und das war der Anfang von dem längsten, schwierigsten Tagen für mich in Deutschland.  Ich kaufte ein schönes Wochenende-Ticket und ich konnte überall in Deutschland mit ihm reisen.  Ich druckte einen Zugfahrplan, so dass ich wusste, wann ich umsteigen musste.  Der erste Zug war kein Problem, weil ich 30 Minuten umzusteigen hatte.  Die zweiten, dritten, und vierten Züge waren alle spät und ich hatte nur 10-15 Minuten umzusteigen.  Der zweite Zug und der dritte Zug waren okay, weil ich nicht zu spät war.  Aber der dritte Zug war so spät, dass mein letzter Zug schon weg war.  Ich war so verängstigt, weil ich dachte, das ich in Regensburg bleiben musste.  Aber ich fragte ein Mann und er sagte, dass ich ein verschiedener Zug zu München finden konnte.  Glückerlicherweise fand ich einen Zug und jetzt bin ich in der Jugendherberge.  Ich hoffe, dass diese sechs Tage in der Jugendherberge okay sind.  Ich wohne in ein drei-Person Zimmer für die ganze Zeit.  Ich will im Studenentenwohnheim wohnen.  Ich ziehe dort am Freitag um.

Yesterday was my last day in Berlin.  It began like a normal day and I went to school.  After school, I went to work out and I spend the entire night with my host family, Marcus and Cristina.  They were so nice and cooked dinner for us.  We had steak, fish, salad, and mashed potatoes and it was great.  After dinner we watched “Cedar Rapids” with Ed Helms from “The Office” and it was surprisingly very funny.  I woke up at 8 am and already had my luggage packed from the night before.  Marcus and Cristina drove me to the Bahnhof on Postdamer Platz.  This was the beginning of the longest and hardest day for me in Germany.  I bought a schönes-Wochenende-Ticket and I could travel with it everywhere in Germany.  I printed a Train plan so that I knew when I would have to switch trains.  The first train was no problem because I had 30 minutes to switch trains.  The second, third, and fourth trains were all late and I hate only 10-15 minutes to switch.  The second train and third train were okay because even though the train ran late, they held up the other trains because they knew my train ran late.  But after the third train was so late, my fourth train had already left.  I was so scared because I thought that I had to stay in Regensburg, but I asked a guy and he said that I could find a different train to Munich.  Luckily I found a train and now I am in the Youth Hostel that I’ll be staying at for 6 nights.  I hope these six days are okay here because I live in a triple room for the entire time.  I want to live in my student dorm.  I move in there on Friday.

Diese ist meine letzte Woche in Berlin!  Ich habe mein schönes Wochenende-Ticket und ich werde am Samstag verlassen.  Ich rief eine Jugendherberge letzte Abend an und ich reservierte ein Zimmer für sechs Tage in München, weil mein Studentenwohnheim nur am ersten Juli beginnt.  Jugendherbergen sind die bie preiswerte Option, aber es kostet 170 Euro für sechs Tage und das ist viel Geld für mich auszugeben.  Mein Praktikum beginnt am 27. Juni und ich habe keine Information über es.  Ich schickte Katerina aus CDS eine Email und sie hat gesagt, dass ich mit Eddie Bauer schon sollen sprach.  Aber ich hatte Kontakt mit dem Unternehmen nur einmal.  Ich werde die Firma eine andere Email schicken und hoffentlich werde ich mehr Information bekommen.  Ich war krank das ganze Wochenende mit einer Erkältung so ich muss diese Woche in Berlin mehr Spass machen.

This is my last week in Berlin!  I have my schönes Wochenende-Ticket and I will leave on Saturday.  I called a youth hostel last night and reserved a room for six days in Munich because my dorm doesn’t begin until the first of July.  Youth hostels are normally the cheapest option but it still cost 170 Euro for six days and that is a lot of money for me to spend.  My internship begins on the 27^th of June and I have no information about it.  I sent Katerina from CDS an email about it and she said that I should have already been in contact with Eddie Bauer.  But I had only been in contact with them one time.  I am going to send them another email and hopefully I will get more information.  I was sick the whole weekend with a cold so I have to have more fun this week in Berlin.

Jetzt habe ich ein Studentenwohnheim durch Studentenwerk München.  Peggy hilft mir Tanja Geißinger finden und ich sprach mit ihr über das Studentenwohnheim.  Sie haben mir gesagt, dass das Wohnheim nur 315,30 Euro pro Monat kostet.  Das ist sehr preiswert in München.  Es gibt auch eine Kaution für 350 Euro, aber ich bekomme das Geld zurück nach diesem Sommer.  Ich habe ein Zimmer mit eignem Bad! Aber ich  muss die Küche mit anderen Studenten teilen und das ist kein Problem.  Jetzt hat Tanja dem Zimmer für mich reserviert.  Letzte Abend trank ich viel Alkohol.  Normalerweise habe ich nicht so viel getrunken, weil ich gesund sein will, aber letzte Abend ich tat und es machte Spaß.  Jetzt denke ich, dass ich eine Erkältung habe.  Ich trainerete früher und es war schwierig, weil ich nicht atmen konnte.  Ich werde in der Wohnung heute Abend bleiben.  Ich sehe zu viel amerikanische Spielshow und jetzt werde ich Spielshow auf Deutsch sehen.  Heute Abend werde ich „The Office“ auf Deutsch sehen.  Ich kaufte mein schönes Wochenendeticket für meine Reise zu München.  Es kostet nur 39 Euro, weil man durch viele Städte gehen muss.  Aber es ist mir egal.  Die Reise ist 10 Stunde lang.  Da mein Studentenwohnheim am 1. Juli beginnt, muss ich in einer Jugendherberge bis dann bleiben.

I now have a student dorm through Studentenwerk München.  Peggy Wunderwald Jensen helped me get in contact with Tanja Geißinger and I spoke with her about the dormitory.  She told me that the dorm only costs 315, 30 Euro per month.  That is really cheap in Munich.  There is also a security deposit for 350 Euro, but I get that back at the end of the Summer.  I have a room with a private bathroom!  But I have to share the kitchen with other students and that is no problem.  Tanja has now reserved the room for me.  Last night I drank a lot.  Normally I haven’t been drinking a lot in Germany because I’ve been trying to stay healthy, but last night I did and it was fun.  Now I think I have a cold.  I worked out earlier and it was difficult, because I couldn’t breathe well.  I’m gonna stay in the apartment tonight.  I watch too many American tv shows and now I will watch tv shows in German.  Tonight I’m going to watch The Office in German.  I bought my Schönes Wochenende Ticket for when I travel down to Munich.  It cost only 39 Euro because you have to go through a lot of cities.  But I don’t care even though the ride is 10 hours instead of 6.  Since my dorm begins on July 1^st, I’m going to have to stay in a youth hostel from June 25^th until then.
